The world is at a crucial turning point, where the circular economy emerges as one of the key pillars to achieve sustainability. We must shift to a new paradigm in which materials and resources are used more efficiently, reducing waste and maintaining their value over time.
Sustainability is not only about reducing the environmental impact, but also about adopting responsible production processes and ethical business practices. Start-ups and innovative SMEs play a key role in accelerating the transition to a sustainable economy, thanks to their agility, creativity and ability to think outside the box. Capgemini is aware of these needs and aims to be a key player in providing innovative services to its clients worldwide, helping them to become more sustainable.
The aim of this call is to find innovative companies developing solutions for the circular economy and sustainability, leveraging one of the following technology assets: AI, IoT, Robotics, Web & Mobile Apps, Saas, Cloud, Metaverse, Data Science. More precisely:
Circular Economy & Waste Management: innovative solutions working to realize projects and applications to manage, valorize and recycle industrial waste materials and transform them into new resources.
Sustainable Development: deep-tech startups (including AI, robotics and immersive tech) whose innovations are based on high-tech solutions or significant scientific advances in manufacturing and circular economy domains while reducing CO2 emissions.
Digital platforms oriented to sustainability and circularity, that make it possible to create a net zero strategy for our clients.
Key market applications of the above solutions are expected to include: automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, life science, consumer goods & retails, telco & media, energy & utilities, financial services, public sector.
WHAT WE OFFER
The selected startup(s) and innovative SMEs with the most suitable solutions for the company’s interests will have the opportunity to collaborate with Capgemini in Italy for the potential development of an industrial partnership in order to integrate their proposal to Capgemini’s current services and to collaborate with a team of experts. Capgemini will also make them visible within its global network of nearly 360,000 employees and connect them with its corporate venture capital.
WHO CAN APPLY
The call for is open to startups and innovative SMEs in Italy and abroad.
Preferably, startups that are in an intermediate stage, ready for market and/or already have a revenue generating MVP/POC.
Startups must have the following characteristics:
- Less than 250 employees.
- Annual Turnover between €0.6 million and €50 million.
- With at least one certified financial statement or prepared by an auditor.
- Not be listed on a regulated market.
